Our Team

Amy Aston Amy is a registered social worker. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from the University of Canterbury in 2009. Amy has extensive experience working in the health and reabilitation sectors both in New Zealand and Australia. Amy has undertaken both social work and counselling in these sectors. Additionally, Amy has a background in care and protection social work and is well-versed in working with children, young people and families. Most recently Amy has been working in one-to-one and relationship counselling. Amy has a special interest in supporting couples, parents and working in the areas of communication, sex and intimacy.
Michele Brooker Michele graduated in 2011 from Massey University with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours). She is a registered social worker. Michele's early practice focused on youth and family social work - including youth justice and school-based support. After spending some time in London for her OE, Michele returned to Taranaki and worked in rehabilitation, progressing to a training/mentoring role. Michele's most recent focus has been in brief-intervention counselling, rehabilitation social work and providing professional supervision. Michele has a particular interest in working with young people and their families, adjustments in relationships and professional supervision.
